The new Loggia from Ultraframe re-invents the traditional conservatory into an affordable thermally efficient home extension offering plastered walls with perimeter ceilings, super insulated columns and a glass roof that allows natural light to flood in. For a little more than the cost of a standard conservatory Loggia offers a whole new category of home extension that in most cases do not require Building Regulations approval.
Italian Inspiration - British Innovation
The inspiration behind Loggia dates from the Italian Renaissance period famous for creating structures with roofed galleries supported by ornate columns. Ultraframe have developed the same principles to create a modern, innovative building that has remarkable aesthetics and will add value to any home.
Loggia is designed to be an all year round extension to your living space and standard double glazing to the roof and side frames is our energy efficient Staycool solar control glass which offers superior protection from UV rays and solar gain. For north facing structures where solar protection isn’t necessary we can also provide thermally efficient argon filled low E double glazing.
The solid columns are precision engineered with a U-value of only 0.15 making them twice as efficient as a normal insulated cavity wall.
Stylish Bespoke Designs
The design possibilities are endless and will be totally bespoke to suit your requirements so there will be no such thing as a standard Loggia design. The solid columns can be used with any rectangular shape conservatory roof design including Edwardian, Gable End, Georgian, P shape and T shape.
Loggia takes the glazed elements of traditional conservatories and adds highly insulated columns, perimeter ceilings and the Cornice shroud to create a permanent addition to your living space that is visually stunning and stylish.
This internal view shows how the use of full height insulated columns with full height glazed windows to the side and bifold doors to the front creates new living space filled with natural light.

Loggia provides a range of standard contrasting colour schemes or the option of a fully colour matched structure. It's thermally efficient solid columns and Cornice gutter shroud are available in five standard powder coated colours or you can choose any RAL colour at additional cost. The PVCu windows, doors and Classic roof are supplied in a standard white finish although you can upgrade both to powder coated aluminium if you prefer all elements to colour match.
Windows and Doors
Choose full height glazing, tilt and turn windows, sliding sash windows or outward opening casement windows and a choice of french doors or bifolding doors all available in PVCu or powder coated thermally efficient aluminium.
Loggia solid columns can be supplied full height or to sit on a dwarf wall and because they have a front to back dimension of 300mm they are ideal for use with an optimum 100mm cavity.
The wide full height columns can also include optional concealed electric radiant heaters. Columns abutting the house wall provide a concealed downpipe facility so it doesn’t spoil the aesthetics of the structure.
Factory engineered highly insulated column construction
The steel ladder system creates a perimeter ceiling for hiding cables and to house spotlights and downlighters. The ceiling has an ingenious cloaking screen to ensure that the reverse side of the ceiling and any wiring isn’t visible through the glass roof from above.
Stunning 21st Century Living Space
The Loggia structure is proven to be 4 times stiffer than a conventional conservatory and the use of solid columns instead of awkward brick piers will help to speed up the build process.
As Loggia will not normally require Building Regulations it provides a cost effective, energy efficient home extension that can be added to your property with minimum delay.
