ROOF LANTERNS
Installing a roof lantern into a flat roof exension opens up your new living space by allowing natural light to flood in and can also provide additional ventilation when specified with an electric roof vent.
Available in a variety of designs including the most popular double hip edwardian your roof lantern can be installed onto a timber upstand or alternatively you can specify 400mm high windows beneath the lantern for additional light.
Choice of systems
These lantern roofs can be manufactured using the same Ultraframe Classic roof system used in our conservatories and are available in standard white finish, rosewood or light oak wood grain foils.
You can also choose from our extended colour range of foils which include black, grey, cream, white and green. The Ultraframe roof uses structural aluminium profiles with external chambered pvcu cappings and internal pvcu colour matched claddings.
We also provide the option for an external aluminium finish lantern roof that can be supplied powder coated to any RAL colour with matching or different colour pvcu internal claddings. This system is especially popular when the roof is required to match the colour and finish of our aluminium bifold doors.
Glazing Options
All lantern roofs can be supplied with the latest Aqua Green or Activ Blue solar control self cleaning glass and all double glazed sealed units are argon filled low e and benefit from an energy efficient 1.2 U value.
For a modern contemporary look the roof can be fitted without traditional finials and cresting and you can choose to add manual or electric opening roof vents.
