Timberlook PVCu Bifold Folding Sliding Doors
Our Timberlook PVCu folding door has been designed to provide very slim sight lines when compared to most PVCu Bifold doors. Using 60mm wide Ovolo PVCu profiles the glass to glass sight line for panels running in the same direction is just 132mm which is considerably less than most doors currently on the market. Doors run on maintenance free stainless steel rollers that are concealed inside a colour matched aluminium frame head and threshold which ensures that the doors cannot be removed from the track when the door is closed. High security hook bolt locking is provided to traffic doors with shoot bolt locking to intermediate panels which are also fitted with security hinges with fixings that are only accessible when the door is open.

The demand for these sliding folding doors is growing rapidly as homeowners see the advantages of opening up the front of their conservatory or house to take advantage of our warmer climate and provide unobstructed access to the garden and patio.
Adding a bifold door to your new conservatory
The introduction of folding sliding doors into the UK conservatory market has provided the opportunity to replace the traditional french door with a bifolding door that provides a much wider opening than traditional french doors allowing the home and garden to become one seamless area.
To ensure structural stability of a conservatory where bi folding doors are fitted Ultraframe offer a 'Super Duty' eaves beam that is capable of providing adequate support for the roof and avoiding the need for a costly steel goalpost portal frame previously required. The width of the folding sliding door can often be up to four metres but will be determined by the span, projection and style of the conservatory and also the required position of the door. We will be happy to provide advice and more information on receipt of your specific enquiry.

Internal bifold door
What better way to seperate your new or existing conservatory from your house than with one of our superb sliding folding doors. Supplied with a low threshold which can be buried in the floor to provide almost flush levels a bifold door provides the perfect solution as not only does the door comply with building regulations document L but it also allows the conservatory to become a permanent extension to your home with the bifold open. With the folding door closed the house is secure when unoccupied or when you simply want to seperate the conservatory from the rest of the house. For internal doors we can also offer a timber folding door option.

Adding a bifold door to a new extension
Folding sliding doors are proving a very popular choice for new extensions and we now offer a bespoke range of roof lanterns in matching colours and finishes if you want to increase the flow of natural light into your new living area.
Traffic Door Option
Some bifolding door styles provide a hinged traffic door allowing easy day to day access without opening up the complete door, especially useful during the colder months of the year. Some wider folding door designs can also have a double traffic door. Traffic doors are fitted with multi-point high security locking operated by conventional lever/lever handles and provide key cylinder locking accessed both internally and externally. View available styles of folding doors here.
Bifold doors supplied without a traffic door feature an internally activated shoot-bolt locking system which does not provide access from the outside.
Just slide and fold to open
These innovative sliding and folding doors are manufactured using moveable parts or elements that enable the door leaves to be easily folded back to the left or right and they can be specified to stack outside or inside. The door sashes of our aluminium bifold door are hinged to a mullion which is supported by a roller mechanism which slides along the cill profile whilst at the top the mullion is guided by another roller. For Timberlook PVCu folding doors a colour matched aluminium head and threshold conceals the top and bottom rollers ensuring the smooth secure operation of the doors. There are many possible configurations of door design available using this system. The direct fix outer frame allows the door to be fitted directly to brickwork or in the case of a conservatory, directly to the corner posts and dwarf walls.
Made to Measure
Our aluminium or upvc folding sliding doors are made to measure to suit your aperture and can be ordered in many different designs. These Bifolding doors can be specified with a low threshold when used internally, for instance between your house and conservatory. When used for external applications a weathered threshold will be supplied and you can specify with or without a projecting cill.
Bring the outside inside
Bi-fold doors can also of course be used to replace an existing patio door, French door or can be used for swimming pool enclosures or for wherever you would like to create a large opening onto a sun terrace. The doors are often specified in commercial applications such as restaurants, showrooms and hotels to allow unrestricted access.
