CONSERVATORY STYLE GUIDE
Conservatories come in many shapes and sizes. The following styles are provided as a guide to the most popular designs but we can provide any conservatory design subject to structural stability requirements. All the conservatories featured are shown with the popular dwarf wall option but can also be designed with full height glazing or alternatively with upvc infil panels to replace the dwarf wall. You will find more information on bespoke designs and advice on how to design your new additional living space on our Conservatory Design page.
COMPACT LEAN-TO
Ideal for confined spaces and limited budgets this compact lean to conservatory design features a single door to save space.
TRADITIONAL LEAN-TO
The popular Lean to conservatory provides a variable pitch solution and includes glazed side raked frames for maximum additional light. The Lean to model is a popular choice where existing height restrictions such as on a bungalow restrict the type of conservatory that can be installed. Lean to conservatories can also be supplied with a 2.5 degree low pitch roof and also a raised back box gutter where the conservatory is connecting to a bungalow soffit.
SPANISH LEAN-TO
Our Spanish Lean to style features a wide centre bay segment but with no ridge and provides an alternative to a hipped traditional lean to conservatory design.
EDWARDIAN
The very popular Edwardian is a square fronted conservatory maximising floor space. Also referred to a a Georgian conservatory the Edwardian has a hipped roof reflecting traditional conservatory values. The double hipped Edwardian adds a sloping roof to the rear and connects to the house wall with a box gutter especially useful for overcoming height restrictions or for conservatories with a span greater than structural limits will permit.
GABLE END
A Gable End conservatory creates a higher roof feel and offers a variety of gable end designs including the popular sunburst.
VICTORIAN
The traditional Victorian conservatory is particularly suitable for older properties and is available in 3 and 5 bay segments. Depending on the span of the conservatory french doors can be positioned in the front or bay returns maximising floor space. An additional hip can be added to the rear to overcome any height restriction issues.
SPANISH VICTORIAN
The Spanish Victorian Conservatory features a wide centre bay segment to maximise floor space, proving a popular alternative to the traditional Victorian Conservatory.
DOUBLE HIPPED MODELS
Used to overcome height restrictions, a double hipped Edwardian or Victorian conservatory is suitable for properties where the height is restricted where the conservatory joins the house.
