Our stunning range of thermally efficient aluminium Bi-fold doors are available as individual door orders or can be specified for your new self build conservatory allowing you to truly bring your garden into your home.
We supply aluminium folding sliding doors because of their slim sightlines when compared to similar PVCu folding doors which also helps increase space when the doors are fully open. Aluminium profiles feature an ovolo sculptured external detail replicating traditional timber doors and also provide strength and rigidity ensuring that your new bi folding door operates smoothly and effortlessly for years to come.
The demand for these sliding folding doors is growing rapidly as homeowners see the advantages of opening up the front of their conservatory or house to take advantage of our warmer climate and provide unobstructed access to the garden and patio.
Available in White gloss as standard(RAL 9010)our bi-folding doors can also be supplied in a choice of over 200 RAL paint finishes.

INTERNAL BIFOLD DOOR
What better way to seperate your new or existing conservatory from your house than with one of our superb aluminium sliding folding doors. Supplied with a low threshold which can be buried in the floor to provide flush levels a bifold door provides the perfect solution as not only does it comply with building regulations but it allows the conservatory to become a permanent extension to your home with the bifold open. With the bifold closed the house is secure when the house is empty or when you simply want to seperate the conservatory from the rest of the house.
You can view many images of bifold door installations in the gallery on our dedicated web site FOLDING DOORS 2U where you can also download a full technical brochure and threshold options.
ADD A BIFOLD DOOR TO YOUR NEW CONSERVATORY
The introduction of folding sliding doors into the UK conservatory market has provided the opportunity to replace the traditional french door with a bifolding door that effectively opens up almost the whole side or front of the structure allowing the home and garden to become one seamless area.
To ensure structural stability of a conservatory where bifold doors are fitted Ultraframe have recently launched a 'Super Duty' eaves beam capable of providing adequate support for the roof and avoiding the need for a costly steel goalpost portal frame previously required for support. The width of the folding door can be up to four metres but will be determined by the span, projection and style of the conservatory and also the required position of the door. We will be happy to provide advice and more information on receipt of your specific enquiry.
FREE Traffic Door Option
On some 3 panel doors and above you can specify a traffic door to your new bi-folding door which provides easy day to day access without opening up the complete door, especially useful during the colder months of the year. Some wider folding door designs can also have a double traffic door. Traffic doors are fitted with multi-point high security locking operated by conventional lever/lever handles and provide key cylinder locking accessed both internally and externally. View available styles of folding doors here.
Bifold doors supplied without a traffic door feature an internally activated shoot-bolt locking system which does not provide access from the outside.
Just slide and fold to open
These innovative sliding and folding doors are manufactured using moveable parts or elements that enable the door leaves to be easily folded back to the left or right and they can be specified to stack outside or inside. The door sashes are hinged to a mullion which is supported by a roller mechanism which slides along the cill profile whilst at the top the mullion is guided by another roller. There are many possible configurations of door design available using this system. The direct fix outer frame allows the door to be fitted directly to brickwork or in the case of a conservatory, directly to the corner posts.
Made to Measure
Our aluminium folding sliding doors are made to measure to suit your aperture and can be ordered in many different designs. These Bifolding doors can be specified with a low threshold when used internally, for instance between your house and conservatory. When used for external applications a weathered threshold will be supplied and you can specify with or without a projecting cill.
Bring the outside inside
Bi-fold doors can also of course be used to replace an existing patio door, French door or can be used for swimming pool enclosures or for wherever you would like to create a large opening onto a sun terrace. The doors are often specified in commercial applications such as restaurants, showrooms and hotels to allow unrestricted access. By specifying the low threshold option the doors can also be used as room dividers.
Our aluminium Bi-fold doors have slim sightlines and will fold back to create an unobstructed opening. Choose a Traffic door option for a normal opening door that can be used during the colder months.

WHY BUY ALUMINIUM BIFOLD DOORS?
We only supply aluminium folding sliding doors. Bifolding upvc doors are available but most systems do not provide 'open out' configurations and are limited in widths and height. PVCu profiles are also generally bulkier, heavier and woodgrain profiles expand in direct sunlight which may make them difficult to open and close.
An aluminium bifolding door offers many more design options with slimmer sightlines and durable profiles that provide a reliable door solution that will enhance any home.
